MESSAGES ON (AND TO) THE MINISTRY (FIRST SERIES) 1.16

Ministerial Authority and Improper Ministerial Expressions of Authority Part 2:
Leading in Love versus Dictatorially Driving and the Misuse of Terms like Submission, the Abuse of Autocratic Methods, and Ministerial Communication with the Members of the Church that is Considerate and Courteous rather than Condescending and excessively Commanding

Originally we had the session on the 5 offices of the ministry and the office of the apostle numbered as #15 but it has been renumbered as #17 so that the subjects addressed by this session and the one that precedes it (part 1) will flow in order before going into the sessions on the offices of the ministry.

CAUTIONARY NOTE: This ongoing series of classes on the ministry is NOT intended to address the general ministry of the body of churches we are part of but, rather, to educate and aid those ministers here and abroad that I personally am responsible for. Doing so may require addressing somewhat controversial issues, but only as such are necessary to make clear my position on these issues to those I am responsible for. We have made this public (and not password protected) for several reasons, one being that there are ministers outside of our body of churches who may hear these messages and may consider their ways. That has been the case with other materials we have made public; we have had individuals who listened to them who reached out to us and became a part of what we are doing because of a conviction they felt hearing those messages or reading those materials. I also wanted my position on these issues to be transparent and available to those who love the ministry and its work. AND some of the brethren we work with overseas have difficulty accessing password-protected pages.

Let me add an EXTRA CAUTIONARY NOTE to this session as it does address a number of controversial issues which are seen in different ways by brethren among us. It is NOT my intent for this session to cause any offense to those who teach differently among our churches and I would strongly advise those who may be working under other ministers who hold a different view to consider the potential conflict this may create.
